ETF's - Exchange Traded Funds - are powerful tools for investors to use for asset allocation. This site devotes itself to listing index ETF's that are used primarily in the growth part of your portfolio.
You purchase ETF's just like shares of stock. In your brokerage account you can order 100 shares of Home Depot as HD. You can also order 100 shares of SDY - an exchange traded fund that buys 100 dividend stocks.
This site will attempt to list and keep up with index oriented exchange traded funds. There are some ETF's such as ProShares and HOLDRs that are not listed on this site as we do not recommend them. Use the links to the left to look at the various Exchange Traded Index Funds from the major investment firms.
Here is a link that you can use to find comprehensive information on all ETFs currently available - http://finance.yahoo.com/etf. Here you will be able to view all ETFs and organize them by size, performance, volume, fund family, etc.
And as they say - the beat goes on..... Keeping up with all the new ETFs is a challenge. Here's one of the latest articles on 95 new ETFs the first quarter of 2007 - http://www.smartmoney.com/etffocus/index.cfm?story=20070412.
A second web site to research ETFs is http://www.investors.com/etf/default.asp. Once again you will be able to track performance and also have access to their archives.
ETF portfolios are available to subscribers who also get access to portfolios for income investments. For more information go to www.incomeplanner.com
